The Project Begins
Hello and welcome to our first Moments in Time developer updates. We are a group of three students in Binus University starting out with our first game. My name is Handerson Davis Tjia, the game designer and programmer. We have Sindhuarta Liesatyadharma, lead art manager. Last but not the least, we have Riccosan, the sound and music manager. In this post, we would like to talk about our vision ahead for this game.
The core idea of this game is to make a platformer with a time rewind mechanic. The game will embrace the classic platformer shooting action and level exploration with a little hint of puzzles. The player will start up with a few basic abilities. As they progress through the game, they will unlock more and more useful abilities and tools.
Explore the disastrous Chronicles Lab! Before everything gone wrong, this facility was the main hub of every research related to time and ages, including the rumored Portable Time Machine. Now, its hallways are filled with loose experiments: prehistoric animals, mythical beasts, terror monsters... you name it. What's more, the Time Cores has malfunctioned and time is being torn apart! We must delve deep into the depths of the unknown and undo this catastrophe!
As for now, we are currently in a very early stage of development. Codes are being written, sprites are being drawn, and game concepts are being thought. We wanted to keep these devlogs short, but we'll post our weekly progress on this page regularly, so stay tuned!
